Introduction

About the 2002 Bruce Roberts 32

Explore the Salish Sea aboard this traditionally styled sedan cruiser. The warmth of the wood found throughout the interior is enhanced by the beautiful, large windows throughout. Soft-green, fresh, and clean upholstery lends itself to the overall feeling of timeless, relaxed comfort aboard a shipshape vessel.

The powerful 90HP engine has only 1010 hours on it. Rest assured, she’ll take you to all the best places on the coast for many, many years to come. Whether gunkholing the Gulf Islands, powering through to Desolation Sound, or fishing the West Coast, you’ll be comfortable and safe. She’s equipped with GPS, Chartplotter, VHS and everything you need to get there.

The owner writes technical manuals for a living and this boat has incredible reference material on how to use it. Things are well marked and even first-timers will be able to transfer fuel between tanks with confidence as, amazingly enough, all the valves and fuel lines are marked and a fantastic diagram and instructions are provided.

This boat is clean, simple, and honest. If these are qualities that you appreciate, come and see her in person.

Features

Layout & Description

Exterior

A Livingston dinghy hangs from a teak swim grid. There is a full cockpit with wooden steps to starboard that lead to the upper deck, a sliding wooden door to the interior, and access to side decks. Over the cockpit is a canvas awning to protect from the elements. The decks are fiberglass over plywood, painted a light grey. Teak caprails adorn the bulwarks. The forward deck is raised over the foreword stateroom and then drops into the anchor deck. There is an elegant butterfly hatch over the stateroom, made of teak, glass, and brass. The anchor deck sports a heavy-duty windlass and solid Samsom post.

The upper deck has a mast to support nav lights. The radar is mounted aft. Two forward-facing seats are mounted aft, next to the BBQ. The upper deck is large and spacious, affording a wonderful living space. Forest green canvas lee-cloths are run on both sides with a metal-supported bimini overhead.

Galley

Entering the vessel from the cockpit to your left is the galley, to your right is the head.

The galley has a front-access fridge below a counter. Above is a cupboard with teak cup storage affixed to the side. A stainless sink with single faucet is aft of the large diesel oven. Over the oven and sink is a large window with stunning views of the Pacific Northwest.

Head

The head has a stand-alone shower area, manual-flush toilet, large stainless sink, with storage behind a mirror. There is a large window letting in the light.

Salon

Forward of the galley, to port, is a raised cupboard. Forward of that is a bench settee. Opposite that, to starboard, is a C-shaped dinette that could fit 4 easily. The fabric is a soft green corduroy in excellent condition. The table is wood with low fiddles. The sole is wood with metal edging around the hatches to the engine compartment below. Large windows are on both sides, affording a fantastic 3-sided view, creating a feeling of open spaciousness.

Helm

Forward of the settee is the helm. Dominating the space is a beautiful 6-spoke traditional wooden wheel. Gauges and panels surround the area in a logical and effective manner. The seat can fold down or up according to the Master’s preference. To starboard is a sliding door, providing access to the side deck for ease of docking and communicating with crew. To port there is a forward-facing companion seat.

Stateroom

Between the companion seat and the helm are the stairs down to the stateroom. There is a pullman berth to starboard nestled within the flare of the hull. There is storage beneath the bunk. Large brass portholes adorn both sides of this space. Above is a lovely traditional butterfly hatch.
