Kimberly grew up on a horse farm on Lake Muskoka in southern Ontario where boating was almost as much a part of her life as the horses were.
Kimberly and Mark have cruised extensively in the Pacific Northwest on both sail and power boats. Their shared love of boats and boating continues, and now nearly every day starts and ends with a boat ride with their kids across Nanaimo harbour from their Protection Island home.
Among many other skills, Kimberly is a certified level 1 marine technician and was the lead technician and a skipper for the Protection Island Ferry Service.
