2001 Formula 27 Performance Cruiser

Over the last two years, the mechanical systems have been fully gone through. The engines were removed, inspected, and replaced. Transome assemblies replaced, legs were either rebuilt or new parts purchased, shift cables replaced and a host of smaller work.

Engine: Mercury Mercruiser GM V6 262 cid (4.3L). 220 HP. engines. Roughly 1000 hrs on each.

Drive Train: Mercury Mercruiser Alpha 1 leg. Condition noted in survey: “As New.” One leg rebuilt, the other SGI lower leg unit.

New exhaust gaskets and refurbished risers

New thermostats

Heat exchangers are fully serviced

Oil and filter changed.

Leg gear oil under 20 hrs

New alternator on port side

Propeller: Mercury Mirage 3-bladed stainless steel (48-13703 21P / 48-13702 21P). As New condition.

Trim: Bennett hydraulic/electric trim tabs with indicator gauges at the helm. Refurbished trim pumps and new solenoids

Fuel System: Gasoline. 106-gallon (412L) aluminum tank located centerline ahead of engine. A-1 rated fuel lines with shut-off valves.

Bilge Pumps: Rule 500 GPH (shower sump in hairbox) + Rule 2000 GPH with float switch and high-water switch (midship and engine bilge).

Layout: This is an Express Cruiser layout designed for weekend getaways. The cockpit is self-draining, and a gate through the transom allows access to the FRP swim grid with a hinged/telescoping ladder.

Cockpit: The upper helm area is protected by a marine canvas enclosure and a robust FRP archway. The lower, self-draining cockpit features articulating jump seats from the transom wall. There is a wetbar seamlessly integrated for serving refreshments—because cocktails at sunset are mandatory, not optional .

Salon & Galley: Stepping inside reveals a surprisingly roomy main salon with seating, a small galley counter with a sink, and an enclosed head. Carpet liners show some wear, but upholstery and furnishings are in good condition with no damages.

Sleeping Areas: The interior features a dedicated sleeping area located aft, underneath the helm station cockpit (accessed from the port side). Additionally, the convertible lounge seating provides extra sleeping capacity.

Helm (Pilothouse): The helm is protected by a marine glass windshield. Single station wheel with mechanical steering, Bennett trim tabs with remote at helm, and full analog engine gauges (MPH, Fuel, Volts, Dual Tachs, Hours, Oil Pressure, Temp).

Cooking: No built-in oven? No problem. The vessel includes a portable cook top. Cook your catch of the day without heating up the whole cabin.

Heating & Hot Water: Equipped with a Seaward 6-gallon stainless steel hot water tank (S-700) running on 110VAC or engine coolant loop. Plus, an AC portable heater is included for those chilly spring mornings in the Pacific Northwest.

Cooling: Norcold DE-451 refrigerator (AC/DC).

Toilet & Head: The enclosed head features a shower area, sink, and marine toilet. Holding tank capacity is 28 gallons—enough for a long weekend without hunting for a pump-out station.

Water System: 28-gallon fresh water tank with a Shur Flo 12 VDC fresh water pump.

Ships Power: 12 VDC with an independent factory-supplied DC panel (analog gauge and CO detector breaker lockout).

Batteries: Less than 2 yrs old

Protection: All AC outlets aboard are GFI protected. The AC panel includes On/Reverse polarity indicators. A galvanic protection circuit has been wired between thru-hulls and metallic elements.

Compass: Ritchie Magnetic (White).

Chartplotter: None

VHF Radio: Standard Horizon Vertex.

Spotlight: On bow with remote control at the helm.

Lighting: UCINNOVATE underwater lighting plus full navigation lights (Port/Starboard, 360° white on retractable mast)

Windshield Wipers: Yes.

Horn: Yes.

Anchor: Danforth style. Reliable, sets quickly, holds like it means it.

Chain & Rode: 1/4” chain paired with approximately 150 ft of 3/8” nylon.

Windlass: Lewmar Concept 12 VDC with chain/line gypsy and independent up/down switches on the bow (fused).

Bow Roller: Stainless Steel.
