2006 Beneteau 343

Introduction

About the 2006 Beneteau 343

The name Beneteau has become synonymous with comfort and fun due to their spacious and well-designed interiors, as well as their easy and safe hull and rig designs. They’re found the world over for good reason. This 343 is rigged for the single-hander and/or the cruising sailors with roller-furling genoa and in-mast roller-furling mainsail. All the lines are led aft, into the cockpit, for ease and safety. She’s a delight to sail and has been incredibly well cared for. Pride of ownership is abundantly apparent. Just ask about the spreadsheet! She’s been the recipient of regular maintenance and an attitude of constant care and attention. As such, she’s as ready to go as the day she came out of the shop. Perhaps more so.

With a beautiful interior, two cabins, and one with a king-sized berth, you can cruise comfortably with family and friends.

With assumable moorage in desirable Fairwinds Maina in Nanoose Bay this is a beautiful boat that will take you anywhere in the Pacific Northwest in comfort.

Features

Layout

Exterior

The exterior of this sailboat shows a spacious hull and relatively high freeboard, affording plenty of space and comfort inside as well as in the cockpit. The stem is nearly plum, with a sugar scoop stern and walkthrough transom for ease of accessing the boat from the tender. The wheel rotates to the side allowing for more space in the cockpit when at anchor. There are 2 opening hatches in the foredeck, and two windows on the deck, aft of the mast. The decks are quite wide for ease of mobility, with stainless handholds, and aluminum toerails. A BBQ is mounted to the pushpit port side.

This boat is equipped with two furling sails: the genoa and main. All lines are led aft. This combination allows the sailor to single-hand easily and stay in the safety of the cockpit.

The cockpit has closed-cell cushions and a table. The wheel is stainless steel with a leather wrap, and the instruments on the pedestal, are well organized and accessible. The bimini and connecting canvas from the dodger provide excellent shelter over the cockpit. The Dodger comes with vinyl lenses as well as UV covers. Aft of the pushpit is a radar tower. All winches and hatches have custom-made sunbrella covers.

Interior

From the companionway, the L-shaped galley is to port. The 2-burner stove/oven is aft, fwd is the single stainless sink, then a large countertop with wonderful space for food preparation. The fridge is front-loading, with a freezer section, beneath the counter. There is an abundance of storage. Aft of the galley is the owner’s stateroom with a king-sized berth and a large hanging locker. To stbd is a large head with a separate shower. Forward of the galley and head is the saloon. Two long bench seats run along either side with a gull-wing teak table between. The port settee has a slight L to the aft end, its backrest against the galley counter. On the stb side, there is an aft-facing chart table to one end of the settee. There is a TV mounted to the bulkhead at the forward end of that settee.

Forward of the saloon is the V-berth compartment with its own door. Port and stbd are large hanging lockers.

All lights have been upgraded to LED and all windows have screens. The hatches have window covers and sliding shades.

The overall feel of the vessel is that of immaculate cleanliness, comfort, and bright warmth. It’s most certainly a wonderful place to spend time.
