Layout & Description

Outside: The reverse counter stern with its fold-down ladder makes boarding this boat a breeze, even from a dinghy or the water. The cockpit is comfortable for five or six friends and is protected from the elements via a dodger and bimini. The navy blue of these coverings is matched to the boom cover and UV strip. There is plenty of room on deck to store the dinghy, or to lounge, or to manage sails and rigging. The aluminum toe rail is convenient for attachments. Heading below is a quick three-step down the companionway.

Interior: Aft, below the cockpit, is an athwartship’s double bunk with a dressing seat and locker to port. Centreline is the companionway with steps down into the port-side galley. The engine compartment is beneath the companionway. Access to the aft cabin is through the galley. With a centreline double sink, top-loading fridge, and 2-burner propane stove with oven, the galley is well laid out and remarkably convenient. There is an impressive amount of countertop space for food prep – something often neglected. There is ample storage for dishes and such in the cupboards along the hull and the cupboards below the counter and sink. Opposite the galley, to starboard, is the head. This consists of a toilet with a basin and sink and an adjoining stand-alone shower. Forward of the head is the navigation table and electrical panel. Forward of that is a bench settee that runs along the hull with storage below, behind, and above. Also in the salon, to starboard is a C-shaped settee with a table in the middle. Storage abounds here as well. The dinette can be converted into a double bunk when you have additional visitors. The salon is bathed in light from portholes and a large overhead hatch. Foreword of the salon is the V-berth, with a large sleeping area and generous hanging lockers and storage.
