The Bayliner 4788 is celebrated for its outstanding layout and exceptional interior volume. Layout & Features:

• Salon – Accessed directly from the aft cockpit, the salon is spacious and bright. A Full U‑shaped galley port forward with ample stowage and drawers. Starboard aft offers L‑shaped seating with storage underneath and a pedestal table with folding leaves. Port aft has two lounge chairs with a coffee table between them. Starboard forward houses the entertainment center. Large aluminum‑framed tinted windows with Venetian blinds and padded vinyl valances fill the space with natural light.

• Pilothouse – Centred helm station with full engine instrumentation, controls, and electronics. Fully adjustable fabric‑covered quad‑base Captain’s chair. Doors on both sides lead to side decks. Aft bulkhead has an L‑shaped vinyl‑covered settee on the port side, with center steps leading up to the command bridge. Starboard side houses the 12V & 120V load control center.

• Command Bridge (Flybridge) – Accessed from the pilothouse by stairs or the cockpit by ladder. Large flybridge with helm station port forward, L‑shaped seating aft and starboard, plus a long settee followed by a cabinet with counter/cutting board and icebox. Radar arch supports a Bimini top for weather protection.

• Master Stateroom – Forward with large island berth centred against forward bulkhead, surrounded by shelving with teak trim. Storage under bed includes fresh water tank forward and drawers aft. Ensuite head starboard aft with separate shower stall (glass door), molded vanity with oval SS sink, and electric marine toilet discharging to holding tank.

• Bunk Room is situated adjacent to the master and can be used as bunk beds, seating area or storage.

• Third Stateroom – Located port aft in the passageway, with a double berth and hanging locker on the aft bulkhead.

• Second Head – Starboard aft side of passageway; electric marine head, shower stall with glass door, molded vanity with oval sink, and mirrored medicine cabinet.

The vessel is equipped with a robust electrical system designed for serious cruising. A Westerbeke eight-kilowatt generator provides ample AC power for all onboard systems. A Heart Freedom twenty inverter allows quiet, battery-powered operation when the generator is not running. The electrical system is protected by a comprehensive load control center at the pilothouse.

The generator is a Westerbeke eight-kilowatt unit and is housed in a sound-insulated enclosure in the lazarette, has its own starting battery, and is cooled through a brass sea strainer with a Racor fuel filter.

Battery isolator switches are secured in the utility compartment.

There are three Rule eleven-hundred-gallon-per-hour bilge pumps with float switches located forward, amidships, and in the engine room, plus a Rule eight-hundred-gallon-per-hour shower pump and a Floret wash-down pump with a stainless steel ball valve at the anchor station.

The fresh water system is pressurized by a Shurflo diaphragm pump.

This 4788 is equipped with navigation electronics at both the lower pilothouse and upper command bridge helm stations. Although not modern, they are functional.

The dual-station setup allows the captain to choose the protected pilothouse in inclement weather or the open flybridge on sunny days.

The vessel is equipped with a reliable anchoring system featuring a Danforth anchor secured on the fiberglass bowsprit with an integrated anchor roller. The Muir windlass with a self-tailing gypsy makes anchor handling straightforward and safe, which is a significant benefit when anchoring frequently in Pacific Northwest coves and harbors. The foredeck anchor station is well-designed for single-handed operation. The windlass is supported by a fibreglass hatch over an anchor locker that includes a wash-down tap connection. Stainless steel cleats and fairleads are well-distributed and oversized for a vessel of this class.

Powered by twin Hino W06DTI diesel engines, this 4788 delivers reliable, economical performance. Hino engines are renowned for their longevity and reliability, making this vessel an excellent choice for long-distance cruising. The vessel cruises comfortably at twelve knots with a top speed of approximately eighteen knots.

The Westerbeke generator provides ample auxiliary power. The engine room is well-organized with a center passage between main engines

Both are freshwater-cooled via large Grocco brass sea strainers.

The transmissions are Hurth HS800A20 units with a two-to-one reduction ratio.

Propulsion is provided by twin counter-rotating twenty-four-by-twenty-two-inch four-bladed Nibral propellers attached to two-inch stainless steel shafts supported by bronze struts and intermediate bearings.

Steering is Hynautic hydraulic with dual stations, and engine controls are Morse dual-lever controls at both stations.

The vessel is also fitted with two sets of twin hydraulic trim tabs on each side, outboard of the rudders.

The tender package includes an eleven-and-a-half-foot 1985 Boston Whaler, secured on the upper deck and launched by an articulating crane. The tender has mahogany seating, a center console with a Ritchie compass and Lowrance sounder, Teleflex steering, and Mercury single-lever controls. The auxiliary outboard is a 2015 Mercury 20 HP four-stroke.
