About the 1996 Bruce Roberts 37

Chirpy is a well travelled, 37’ Steel Cutter that has been faithfully looking after her last owners for almost 15 years taking them from BC to central America, the east coast of the states, the Great Lakes and up to Alaska. She is well founded, dependable and ready to head out on her next adventure. Its set up for extended cruising and the solar is capable of running all the electronics and refrigerator for extended periods. The current owners adventured for months without the need for shore power.

Chirpy’s current owner has only had he for about a year but circumstances call for a sale.

Known as a capable world cruiser there are plenty of Bruce Roberts designs at anchor all over the world. Whether your plans are to head offshore, to Alaska, or Montague Harbour, this Bruce Roberts-designed 37’ steel cutter is in great shape and can take you there safely.

Sturdy Steel Construction

The Bruce Roberts 37 was professionally built for crossing oceans. Steel is used for its strength and durability. It is built to handle challenging sea conditions, providing you with peace of mind during your journeys.

Spacious and Comfortable Interior

Step down below and you will find a spacious and well-designed interior that offers comfort and functionality. With up to 6’5” of headroom, it feels very spacious below. The main salon features ample seating, a dining area, and windows that provide plenty of natural light. The well-equipped galley provides all the necessary amenities for meal preparation, including a stove, oven, refrigerator, and ample storage space.

Accommodations

The Bruce Roberts 37 can accommodate up to seven people. It boasts a private forward cabin with a large V-berth, double sea berths in the salon, a convertible settee and a large quarter berth behind the navigation station, aft. There are lee cloths for the sea berths in the main salon. Being designed for long passages, there is a huge amount of storage throughout. Hanging lockers are cedar-lined to ensure your cloths are protected from moths and provide a subtle scent.

Well-Equipped

The sailboat comes equipped with essential navigation and safety equipment to take you anywhere. This includes a chartplotter, VHF radio, AIS, life raft, life sling, 2-speed, self-tailing winches, and wind vane. It also features a reliable diesel engine, repowered in 2008, ensuring you have a dependable power source when needed.

Professionally built and made to be strong, durable, and safe.

  • Steering – Edson pedestal system with teak and stainless wheel

The interior is designed for long distance cruising, Well designed sea berths with lee clothes, massive storage, navigation table and functional galley. The large V-berth is spacious and gives lots of space when at anchor.
