2000 Protector Targa

Since 1985, Rayglass has grown the Protector brand to become recognized globally for building some of the best high-performance RIBs available. The Protector Targa 28 is extremely popular with demanding commercial users, such as coastguards, search and rescue, and military, as well as gaining increasing popularity among serious recreational users. Whether you want a fast commuter that can handle any weather, a crew boat for moving workers on and off island job sites, or an expedition craft for accessing remote surf breaks, the Targa 28 is an amazingly capable boat.

With the rough water handling capabilities of a well-designed rigid hull inflatable, combined with a hard top to protect the captain and crew, the Targa 28 is an incredibly safe and strong rescue or expedition craft. Below are twin bunks for sleeping or seating for plenty of crew. Forward is a large, waterproof, walk-through hatch to the bow.

With two Sapson posts, one forward and one aft, as well as a forward electric capstan, you are well set up to be the go-to safety boat anywhere on the coast.

Twin Mercury Verado 200 hp outboards with 700 hrs each. Regularly serviced at Advanced Marine Power in Campbell River. Most recent service May 2025, including a new trim assembly and batteries.
