1990 Beneteau Moorings 38

Introduction

About the 1990 Beneteau Moorings 38

This vessel was just inherited by a family that is unabe to use it. Please bring your offers as they would like it sold asap. The Ladysmith moorage is assumable and in the heart of the southern gulf islands. Amazing cruising is right off the dock.

This vessel was the product of two master designers at Beneteau who made it for Moorings Yacht Charters in the Caribbean. It’s spacious and comfortable and the perfect vessel for couples or families wanting to explore the Salish Sea. While it can be single-handed with ease, it’s likely to bring much more joy with friends, taking advantage of the huge cockpit and salon.

With two cabins plus two long settees, it’s easy to sleep six people without feeling cramped. The galley has a ton of storage, with a front-loading fridge and Force 10 stove/oven. You’ll enjoy cooking your catch! With six people aboard, two heads are very much better than one. The mechanic aboard will appreciate the easy access to the engine. The crew will appreciate how almost all the lines are led aft, with enough winches to manage everything. The skipper will appreciate the maneuverability provided by a fin keel and spade rudder.

The vessel is well made and appears in reasoable condition. It is in need of a genow for sailing around here.

Give us a call or text to schedule an appointment to see Amber One in Ladysmith. If you want to feel the pride that comes with owning a beautiful, sleek sailing machine, give us a call. You’ll be on the water in no time.

The forward cabin is a spacious V-berth with its own head, including toilet, basin, and shower. There is also ample storage with a hanging locker and drawers. An escape hatch is over the berth.

Aft of the forward cabin is the salon with two bench seats and gull-wing table between. Upholstery is a lovely dark blue. This area can easily seat six friends for dinner. There is a Dickenson propane heater, cupboards and shelves for storage, fan, music, and a lot of bright light.

Aft of this, to starboard, is a large navigation table with front-loading fridge beneath.

To port of that is the galley. There is a centreline double sink, in-counter storage, and a 2-burner stove/oven. Storage is along the hull and below the sink.

Aft of the galley is a door to the aft cabin. The double berth wraps around forward to create a changing seat. There is storage in cupboards and a shelf.

Opposite that, aft of the nav table, is a door to the aft head. This is the larger of the two heads, with shower, basin, and manual-flush toilet. It has an opening porthole as well as overhead hatch.

Between the head and aft cabin is the companionway, with the engine underneath. Engine access is excellent.

On deck, the cockpit is very welcoming with a dodger, bimini, teak seats long enough to sleep on, gull-wing table, pedestal steering, and an enviable sugar-scoop transom with easy access to the water.

The decks are wide with inboard rod shrouds. There is a radar mast, BBQ, and rod holder on the transom. There are mast pulpits for safety, and a manual windlass.

Below the water is a fin keel and spade rudder.

The hull is bright white with navy canvas. The overall appearance of the boat is sleek and clean.
