Introduction

About the 2005 Catalina 34 MKII

A boat designer was once asked, “What’s the best boat?” To which he answered, “The one where, when you walk away,  makes you turn back around and smile at it.” That’s this boat.

This Catalina 34 MKII redefines “pride of ownership.” You’ll see your shiny happy face in every reflective surface on board, the interior is spotless, the canvas and lenses are pristine, the bilge is dry and clean, and even the keel bolts look like they were installed yesterday.

A good boat should be a balance of form and function and the Catalina 34 is one of the most popular sailboats ever made for a reason. Her beautiful lines and clean design are complimented by many features that make her easy to use. Furling headsail and mainsail make raising sail a breeze. The fin keel means she pivots well in marinas, and the spade rudder means she’s very, very responsive on the helm. Great fun to sail! The walkthrough transom makes unloading your trap full of crabs from the dinghy easy, and then all four of you can pile out of the like-new dinghy with its nearly new 8HP outboard. When it’s time to put the dinghy away, the outboard engine crane will take a load off.

Boil up the crab in the L-shaped galley and put your friends to work shelling them out on the teak cockpit table. Barbie up some steak and corn and gather around the U-shaped dinette to break bread and swap tall tales. Move things along to the fully enclosable cockpit for sundowners, and when it’s time to retire, two separate cabins with double beds, plus a double and single bunk in the saloon are available to sleep you and your guests in comfort. Nothing, absolutely nothing, beats sleeping aboard a gently rocking boat at night. Well, except sailing it.

At the end of your trip, you’ll find yourself walking up the gangway, turning around, and smiling back at your boat.

Give us a call to see this immaculate boat in person.
